International Conference on Biofuels for Sustainable Development of Southern Europe (Bio4SuD)

The call for abstracts is currently open for presentations in the International Conference on Biofuels for Sustainable Development of Southern Europe (Bio4SuD), which will take place in Thessaloniki, Greece on 19-20th of November 2012. So far three renowned speakers from the field of biofuels have already confirmed their participation while major industrial representation is also expected:
Dr. Kyriakos Maniatis (European Commission, Principal Administrator, Biofuels and Polygeneration, Energy Innovation and Technology, DG Energy)
Dr. Kalliopi Panoutsou (European Biofuels Technology Platform Vice chair of Biomass Working Group)
Dr. Walter R. Mirabella (Chairman of the Biofuels team of European Fuel Oxygenates Association), and
Representatives from automotive industry, aviation industry and petrochemical industry is pending

This international conference is an excellent opportunity to:
Highlight your R&D activities in the fields of biofuels production and/or their application
Interact with key industrial and academic representatives forming the foundations for future dynamic synergies
Initiate Private-Public Partnerships (PPPs)
Learn about demonstration projects of key 2nd and 3rd generation biofuels production technologies

related to 1st generation biofuels, thermochemical conversion, enzymatic conversion, advances in solid biofuels, bio-based feedstock characterization, the future of biofuels in automotive sector, aviation biofuels, marine biofuels, algae biofuels, environmental assessment of biofuels, sustainability assessment, biorefinery platforms and economic impact of biofuels.
